Need a go-to essential oil blend for immunity support this season? Or really, for all year? Today, I made a roller bottle chock full of all germ-killing and immune-building oils I had on hand…and it smells good! ā
This time of year brings me so much joy, and so much worryā¦ Cold and flu season is among us, and with young kids, itās quite scary. 3 of my 4 have gotten croup every year since they were born. Weāve invested in a trusty nebulizer machine (either allows them to breath in a saline solution, or a steroid to break up mucus in the lungs), that has certainly had enough use to pay itself off. My oldest son had pneumonia three years ago with a 3 day stay in the hospital. All of these events happened between October and Januaryā¦ see why this time of year scares me!?
But thereās also so much joy to be had! Time with family, making gifts, decorating the house, serving others, baking, baking, baking, cooler temps and celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas. So, my feelings are conflictedš !
But, you might say with each trial comes a more prepared mind. This year, I have an arsenal to fight germs, and Iām armed with some Young Living (YL) essential oils I believe will guard and protect our family this seasonā¦and I pray it will be helpful to you and yours as well!
Here’s what’s inside:
- glass roller bottle for essential oils
- 15 drops of Oregano
- 15 drops of Thieves
- 15 drops of Tea Tree
- 15 drops of Peppermint
- 15 drops of R.C.
- 25 drops of Lavender
- Fill to the top with a carrier oil, such as coconut oil
Once you’ve combined all of the above into a bottle, I roll it onto the bottoms of our feet and cover with socks š! You’re feet are not only cozy, but they are soaking up all those great and wonderful essential oils… win-win!
Need some help finding the essentials? Here’s my favorite roller bottles and coconut oil to use!
And if you’re worried about cold and flu season too, I pray these words will bring you peace and comfort:
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me – practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:4-9
Joyfully,
Nikki
