Morning Love…
Kids up all night.
One right after the other…bad dreams, can’t sleep, too cold, on and on…until I woke up this morning in the baby’s bed.
Not a complaining momma this morning, just keepin’ it real.
And feeling thankful, grateful, blessed (as the fall décor reads throughout the house 😊), that I have a house full of beautiful children that need me. It’s those moments when you plop down in a kiddo’s bed at 2 am because they can’t sleep, and they cuddle up next to you for sweet rest, calmness, safety, warmth. For momma. Cherish it, smell their hair, wrap around them and let them soak in your love. You’ll be tired. We all have sleepless nights once and a while, whether we have kiddos or not!
But “because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23
So how do we not become consumed by tiredness? Look for the ways Jesus is helping, guiding, pointing you in the midst of weary moments. In this instance, it was the joy in a nice warm shower, kids sleeping in late, and a lovely cuppa coffee waiting in the kitchen…
Enter the sweet hubby 😊. Yet another way God showed his mercy and blessings… with the reminder that I have an adoring husband that knows just what I need on a day like this.
Even though I missed our morning coffee date, he makes sure I know he’s thinking of me. Because nothing says “I love you” more than a full pot of coffee. Swoon!!
Momma, if you had a hard, tiresome night because the kiddos are sick, you’re sick, just can’t sleep, or nobody else in the house wants to sleep… take heart. You’re not alone at midnight or 2 o’clock in the morning. I’m praying for the weary ones this morning. Praying for you.
Joyfully,
