Autumn is Coming! Are you ready?
Hi friends!! So, I’m pretty sure I have a 6th sense. I call it. . . the Fall Sense. Yep, with just the slightest hint of crispness in the air, I can smell fall coming. Anyone else have it too?? 😊 I’m typically prohibited from putting out fall decorations until after September 1st (does your hubby give you the same rule?). But when the Fall Sense kicks in, why wait, ammiright?!
Here in New Mexico, the locals say they know fall is coming when the smell of roasting green chilies is in the air! Annnnnd the roasting has begun, so I think we can say its officially here!
Yes, my Fall Sense came quite early this year… August 6th to be exact! And as I mentioned it to Matt that it might be time to put them up, I was met with the “…rrreally?” face. But after some batting of the eyes and sweet smile, he couldn’t refuse my cuteness 😉 …and I’m pretty sure he secretly loves having the decorations up as much as I do! Plus, the house is filled with yummy smells of pumpkin spice, who can argue with that?!
So friends, as you prepare to hunt down autumn boxes in the garage or closets, I would love to share some fall inspiration with you 😊

Here’s a few areas of our house that are bursting with fall goodness!…
Let’s start outside, and work our way in! Front door wreath I purchased at my local Hobby Lobby store, and the ‘shoes-off’ sign I ordered on Esty from this shop! We just implemented a NO SHOES rule, and not only does it keep the floors cleaner, it makes the whole house feel cozier! Do you have the same rule in your home?
Easy-peasy front porch! A couple scarecrows to adorn the front porch swing 🙂 cute and simple!
Our entry table! I LOVE the flame-less candles in the background, I keep them on this table all year round in different decor! You can find these beauties in most stores, but I got mine from Pottery Barn. I think lanterns are a great farmhouse, classy decor option. These two white ones I found at my local Pier 1 Imports. The filler, pumpkin and candle stand I found at Hobby Lobby. I don’t buy real candles often because they scare me (fire!!!), but for Fall, I love the extra lovely scents in the air!
This chair has a sweet story 🙂 I found it on my very first visit to a local Farmhouse store. And after that first visit, the owner and I became great friends! So this chair is a like a keepsake for our friendship too (love you Kendra ;)). My friend put this together from an old farmhouse door she found in Kansas, and it’s awesome for the entry!! The checkered pillow is from Target, the fall pillows are from Pier 1 Imports, and the wreath is also from Hobby Lobby.
A fun, rustic looking piece of wall decor!! I found this cute wall picture from Hobby Lobby!
I have this cute little basket tucked into a corner of my kitchen! It actually has mini lights weaved inside, and it creates a lovely, warm lighting in the kitchen all day and night! The ‘God is good all the time’ sign was a gift from one of my besties :), the lantern and fall filler came from Hobby Lobby as well!
I love my kitchen island centerpiece!!!! I found this great wooden 3-tiered stand at my local Dillard’s! All the filler came from Hobby Lobby (sensing a theme to one of my favorite stores yet??…. :)) It is B-E-A-Utiful in the kitchen!! This makes such a great addition to our fall decor!
These candle sticks are on my kitchen table year-round! I think I may need to add some fall leaves around the tops, what do you think? This Happy Harvest wagon and filler is nostalgic…this was my very first Fall decor I purchased after Matt and I got married! (awww, tear…). I’ve had it for over 11 years now 🙂 and yes, I got it at Hobby Lobby 🙂
And last, but not least…
The Fall Tree!!!! Aaahhhh! I love it!!! 🙂 This is actually a mini version of the tree I did last year! It’s a 4 ft. tree I found at Hobby Lobby with my 40% off coupon. I’m pretty sure all the decor is also from HL. There are stands of lights, strands of fall garland, lots of sunflowers, pumpkins, acorns, and cute little animals like turkeys, squirrels and birds. It’s awesome.
Also, here’s what I did to a full size tree last year, and it was in my entry! Since I downsized this year, I took a lot of the extra ornaments and add them into my Kitchen Island Centerpiece from above! Perfecto!
